SleepOn Privacy Notice

SleepOn is independently developed by Anthony Chase. This notice explains how information is handled when you use the SleepOn iPhone app, its Apple Watch companion and widgets, or official SleepOn pages on chase-on.com. For support or privacy requests, contact checkonapp@outlook.com and mention SleepOn.
1. Your sleep stays on your devices
SleepOn stores sleep logs, preferences, imported Apple Health summaries, recording metadata and saved audio clips locally in protected files. These files are excluded from automatic device backups. SleepOn does not upload health information or audio to iCloud or a developer server. The app requires no SleepOn account and shows no in-app ads. Versions with optional Meta advertising measurement use the consent controls described below; sleep information and audio are never shared for advertising.
2. Apple Health
When you choose to connect Apple Health, SleepOn requests read-only access to Sleep data. Sleep times and available sleep stages are used to calculate nightly totals, trends and recent sleep shortfall against your chosen goal. SleepOn never writes to or deletes from Apple Health. You can disconnect in SleepOn Settings or change permissions in the Health app. Sleep data is not sold, used for advertising or shared with advertisers.
3. Microphone and recordings
Recording begins only when you choose Start recording and grant microphone permission. Sound classification happens on your iPhone. Temporary audio is processed to retain detected clips of possible snoring for playback; temporary chunks are removed after processing. You can delete recordings and saved clips in SleepOn. Recording is optional and does not measure sleep duration or diagnose sleep disorders.
4. Notifications, widgets and Apple Watch
Optional reminders are scheduled on your device. You can choose their times, pause them or turn them off in Settings. A limited sleep summary and preferences are shared with SleepOn widgets and your paired Apple Watch. Raw Health records and audio clips are not sent to these surfaces. Apple provides the device services used for Health access, notifications, widgets and Watch connectivity.
5. Purchases and trial access
Apple processes payments and maintains App Store purchase records. SleepOn uses verified transaction information to determine seven-day trial or lifetime access. SleepOn does not receive your card or bank details. Restoring purchases preserves the original trial start; deleting local sleep history does not reset a trial or delete an App Store purchase. Apple's own privacy policy also applies to its processing.
6. Support and website visitors
If you contact us, we receive the contact information, message and attachments you choose to send. We use this information to respond, resolve requests and prevent abuse. Please avoid sending health records or recordings unless necessary for your support request.
Official SleepOn webpages on chase-on.com are hosted by Shopify. The website may use Google Tag Manager, cookies and hCaptcha for website functionality, measurement, security and spam prevention. These services may process technical information such as an IP address, browser details, requested pages and visit times under their own privacy notices. Website tracking choices are separate from the optional advertising-measurement permission in the SleepOn app. Visiting this website does not transfer the sleep history or recordings stored in your app. Where required, non-essential website technologies require consent.
7. Retention, export and deletion
App content remains on your devices until you remove it or uninstall the app. In SleepOn Settings you can export sleep totals as a CSV or delete all SleepOn data. You can also remove individual sleep entries, recordings and clips. Exports are shared only with destinations you choose; manage exported copies separately. Deleting SleepOn records does not change Apple Health records. Manage Health records and permissions in Apple Health. We retain support correspondence only as needed to handle the request or meet applicable legal obligations.
8. Security and your rights
We use device protections and reasonable safeguards, but no system can guarantee absolute security. Service providers may process website or support information in other countries under their applicable terms and safeguards. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or obtain a copy of personal information you send us, withdraw consent, or complain to a data-protection authority. Email checkonapp@outlook.com for assistance. We cannot access or recover sleep information stored only on your devices.
9. Children and policy changes
SleepOn does not knowingly collect children's personal information through the app. If you believe a child has sent personal information through support, contact us so we can address it. If SleepOn's data practices change, we will update this notice and its date and provide additional notice where required.
10. Facebook and Instagram advertising measurement
In SleepOn versions that include optional Meta advertising measurement, the Meta SDK starts only after you allow tracking through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. Declining tracking does not affect SleepOn access or features. Debug and preview builds do not initialize Meta.
With permission, Meta receives install and app-open activity, device identifiers, and basic app/device and network information to measure Facebook and Instagram advertising and help reach relevant audiences. SleepOn does not provide sleep records, Apple Health data, sleep goals, snoring results or audio recordings to Meta. Automatic purchase logging, screen-title and URL metadata, and product-improvement screen collection are disabled.
See Settings → Advertising privacy in SleepOn. You can change permission in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Withdrawing permission stops SleepOn from requesting further advertising activations and disables local advertising-ID collection and automatic flushing. It does not retract information already sent or cancel requests already in flight. Meta’s processing, retention and privacy controls are described in the Meta Privacy Policy.
11. Advertising privacy requests and deletion
Deleting SleepOn’s local data does not delete information already received by Meta. Use Meta’s privacy controls for that information, or contact checkonapp@outlook.com for help with a privacy request. We cannot access or retrieve sleep history or audio stored only on your devices.
